“It’s a Girl” Gender Reveal {Waxhaw Family Photographer}

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know this sweet family. I met Lindsey and Drew at a neighbor’s BBQ when she was pregnant with her  first daughter and it just so happened that one of the things on Lindsey’s To-Do-List was to find a newborn photographer… Wink Wink… A week or so after meeting them, Linsey contacted me to book her daughter’s newborn pictures. Since then we have become great friends and it’s been so much fun to watch her daughter grow. It just so happened that we were at my same neighbors house for a cookout when she told me they had another little one on the way!! They wanted to do something fun to announce this pregnancy, so they decided to schedule a gender reveal session. Funny thing about this, is that they didn’t know what they were having until after the session so we did “It’s a BOY!” and “It’s a GIRL” pictures which was really funny. I think BIG SISTER is pretty excited about her new responsibility!

Rivers {3 Months}

I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months since I met this little guy! Its crazy how much a baby develops in such a short period of time and I’m so happy I was able to document some of these sweet milestones during Rivers 3 month session. He’s cooing, smiling, pushing himself up and getting a little personality already too. His parents said he wasn’t his happy little self the day of our session but I’m pretty sure you can’t tell. I’m excited to see what he will be doing at our next session.2014-04-28_00052014-04-28_00042014-04-28_00072014-04-28_00062014-04-28_00022014-04-28_00032014-04-28_00092014-04-28_00012014-04-28_00082014-04-28_00102014-04-28_00112014-04-28_00122014-04-28_00132014-04-28_00142014-04-28_00152014-04-28_0016

Mommy & Me {Fort Mill Photographer}

“So there’s this Boy. He kinda stole by Heart. He calls me Mommy.

“I can’t even begin to tell you how important this session was to this mommy. I’ve known Rachel for quite some time and I’ve been able to document some great memories of their family. When Rachel contacted me and told me she wanted to schedule  a session for just her and her son I was so excited. She mentioned that in the past, most of the session focused on her son and his milestones or getting some great family shots but she wanted this shoot to be all about the two of them and endless amount of love she has for her little boy. She also shared with me that she was going to be going back to work part time so she really wanted to do something special for the two of them. I couldn’t agree more with everything Rachel said.

As a photographer, I’m behind the camera most of the time and a majority of the pictures of myself and my kiddos are “selfies” with the iPhone. We headed to the quiet spot in Fort Mill where the peach trees still had some blooms left and I documented this sweet love between this mother and her son.

Mac {Charlotte Christening Photographer}

Christening pictures are not something I photograph everyday, but I loved  the opportunity to shoot in a beautiful church. Myers Park Presbyterian was the perfect location to document these special memories.  Mac was such a happy little boy during our session and what made the shoot even more special was that he wore his dad’s christening gown from when he was a baby. I absolutely love when clients include something sentimental from their childhood to include in the session. Enjoy a few sneak peeks from our morning together.

Mrs. North Carolina

I originally met Stephanie a couple years ago when I was volunteering for an event with United Family Services . We had a great time working together and have stayed in touch ever since. A year ago, her and her husband had their first child and I was able to document life as a family of three. Since then, Stephanie decided to compete in the Mrs. North Carolina Pageant on a whim since she thought it would be fun and she WON! She called me shortly after getting her crown (yes… CROWN!) and scheduled a session for head shots and some updated family pictures since her daughter’s 1st birthday was right around the corner.

Since Stephanie is a pretty natural girl and doesn’t wear make-up very often, I told her she had to hire Erin Ashley to work her magic. Erin did an awesome job with her look and Stephanie rocked her gorgeous smile and super fun personality! Erin and I had a little fun in her closet and picked out her grandmother’s fur to use in some of her pictures too!

We ended the session with some beautiful shots of her husband and daughter right outside their home with the most gorgeous light!
