Patrick is ONE! {Fort Mill, SC Children’s Photographer}

I can’t even begin to tell you how special it has been to photograph both of these boys since they were born. Paula and I have known each other for almost 7 years. We worked together, became friends, had babies and then both of us made the decision to stay at home with our kiddos instead of returning to work. Paula and her family have supported me from the beginning of my photography journey and I can’t be more thankful for the friendship we share. She truly values how important it is to document these stages in life and I’m so appreciative that she has chosen me to share these memories with. Photography is so much more than “taking pictures” its about sharing these moments in life together and documenting your beautiful story.2014-06-23_00022014-06-23_00032014-06-23_00042014-06-23_00052014-06-23_00062014-06-23_00072014-06-23_00082014-06-23_00092014-06-23_00102014-06-23_00112014-06-23_00122014-06-23_00132014-06-23_00142014-06-23_0015

A Surprise for Daddy {Charlotte, NC Children’s Photographer}

What better gift can you give your husband for his 50th birthday than pictures of his children together. Stephanie was very sneaky and set this all up while her husband was away for the weekend. This was the first time the two of them had pictures taken together. When we did Sophie’s newborn session, her big brother wasn’t able to be there so it was really sweet documenting the interaction between the two of them. Austin was such a good sport. I’m sure taking pictures is not at the top of his “Most Fun Things to Do” list but he had a good time and went with it. I don’t think he would admit it but I think he had a good time.

Waiting for Baby {Charlotte, NC Maternity Photographer}

I just love when my clients trust me and are totally up for anything! My absolute favorite part of this session was when we went down by the water. I asked Dianne if she was up for taking Ben’s shirt and shoes off and she said “Of course!”.  My vision for this series of photos with just mommy and her little boy turned out just the way I had pictured it in my head prior to our session. She was even up for standing in the water and soaking the bottom of her dress. Can’t wait to meet baby boy #2 in a few weeks!!

Sullivan is ONE! {Charlotte, NC Family Photographer}

I can’t tell you how much I adore this family. I’ve known them for over three years and have shared so many great memories with them. We originally met at an expo when Jamie won a maternity session giveaway. I documented this very exciting time in their lives as they awaited the arrival of baby #2 and since then they have been great clients and wonderful friends! It has been an absolute joy watching their family and each one of their kiddos grow over the last couple of years. I couldn’t be more thankful for having me share these moments in life with them.

Eli {Charlotte Family Photographer}

I’m a true believer that “things in life happen for a reason”. I met Karen while waiting in line to get my son a balloon animal at the Stonecrest shopping center during one of the summer concert nights. I recognized her friends son who I had taken preschool pictures of and we started chatting about photography. I soon found out that she was pregnant and expecting her first baby.

A few weeks later I was excited to find an email in my inbox from Karen. I’m going to be honest, and my husband can tell you that he often hears me say ” I want to be her friend”. I know this might sound a little crazy but it’s true and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only crazy one out there that thinks this way. You know as we get older its harder to meet people and make friends. It’s not like high school or college anymore. You really have to put yourself out there.

Karen and her husband Chad are such wonderful people. They’ve been through so much since the moment they found out that Eli had Spina Bifida while she was pregnant but they’ve continued to stay positive and take each day one step at a time. It was such a joy spending some time with the three of them and documenting the unconditional love that they share for one another.

One of my favorite moments was when Eli started to get upset and Karen immediately started singing “Jesus Loves Me” and he quickly calmed down and looked right into her eyes and began to smile. Melted my heart. 2014-05-25_0014
